Kristin Harila
Kristin Harila, originally from the very flat town of Vadsø, personifies the spirit of a self-made icon. Born with a passion for the outdoors, Kristin quickly realized her love for winter sports and cross-country skiing. However, it was her fearless attitude and unparalleled talent for rock climbing that set her apart and made her a phenomenal climber.
After Kristin Harila resigned from her leadership position in 2019, Kristin devoted her life to pursuing her dream of climbing the world’s highest mountain peaks. In 2023, she set a world record together with Tenjen (Lama) Sherpa, and they became the fastest people to reach the summits of all 14 mountains over 8,000 meters in 3 months and 1 day. With this achievement, she consolidates her place among the world’s best mountain climbers.
