Sustainable Supply Chain

From wood to recycled plastic

Through our partnership with the Norsk Lastebærer Pool, we use recyclable and reusable plastic pallets to improve the sustainability of our incoming deliveries. Looking ahead, we plan to expand this solution to outgoing goods, further enhancing supply chain efficiency and reducing environmental impact.

Commitment to responsible material use

As a member of the Norsk Lastebærer Pool (NLP), we have adopted the use of recyclable and reusable pallets for our incoming deliveries, marking a significant step in our journey towards more sustainable logistics practices.

The role of NLP in revolutionizing pallet use

The Norsk Lastbærer Pool was established in 2006 with the goal of addressing the challenges the grocery industry faced with the handling of wooden pallets. The introduction of a pooling system quickly proved effective and set the stage for introducing plastic pallets to the Norwegian market. Today, these plastic pallets make the food industry more environmentally friendly, sustainable, and cost-effective.

Expanding the use of sustainable pallets

We currently utilize this pallet solution in collaboration with our suppliers for incoming goods. In the coming years, we plan to extend this approach to our customers in the sports and outdoor industry, allowing us to use the same pallets for outgoing goods as well.

Enhancing supply chain sustainability

By integrating NLP’s innovative pallet solutions into our supply chain, we are not only improving our environmental footprint but also setting a standard for sustainability in the industry. This initiative is a key part of our strategy to enhance operational efficiency and environmental stewardship simultaneously.
