Aligning with our sustainability goals
We aim to replace our current packaging solution with a new recyclable pouch.
We are grateful to the Research Council of Norway for supporting this initiative with a grant of 9.8 million NOK, highlighting the importance of developing recyclable packaging solutions.
Collaboration for innovation
This is a challenging task, and to ensure success, partners from the supply chain have committed to collaborate on developing a recyclable packaging solution suited for a circular value chain. Our current solution is a laminated stand-up pouch that is not mechanically recyclable.

Commitment to our responsibility
In light of our commitment to sustainability, we recognize the urgency of adopting new recyclable packaging to achieve our environmental objectives. It presents significant challenges as our current packaging has specific functionalities that recyclable materials currently struggle to meet. Nevertheless, we are excited to embark on this journey. In close cooperation with Norner Research, specialists in packaging, and the entire value chain, we are geared up to directly tackle this challenge.
Open to adjustments
As we progress, we acknowledge that meeting our recycling goals might require reassessing and possibly compromising on certain functional aspects of the packaging. Despite the difficulty of these decisions, we understand their importance and are prepared to seriously consider them in our quest for more eco-friendly solutions.
Project consortium
The project consortium includes MPack (packaging supplier), Skala Maskon (machine manufacturer), Ragn-Sells (waste management), and Forsvarsbygg (end user), representing the entire value chain.
