Committed to the UN Global Compact since 2012

Drytech has been a member of the UN Global Compact since 2012. The UN Global Compact is a UN organisation that encourages enterprises to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies. It consists of more than 12,000 companies and organisations from over 160 countries. In Norway alone, there are now over 300 member companies.

The UN Global Compact is based on ten principles in the areas of human rights, working life, anti-corruption and the environment. Together with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the principles serve as a guideline for the member companies’
sustainability work. The UN Global Compact has two main objectives. They are to make the principles part of the business activities of companies around the world, as well as to promote activities and partnerships that help meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Strong northern Norwegian forces pulling in the same direction

Drytech is also an active member of the Sustainable Business in the Arctic solution platform, UN Global Compact Norway. This network is an important arena for sustainable development that is created in and for trade and industry here in the North. Collaboration across industries and academia will be absolutely crucial for us to develop as a sustainable food producer.

Drytech is an active participant, and shares expertise in several important initiatives established by the steering group related to the UN Global Compact’s regional office in Tromsø. Together with northern Norwegian companies, we collaborate on digital opportunities and solutions with the aim of realising a more sustainable value creation. For us, this is a journey of learning, and we are in the early stages of establishing an SME collaboration where the topics are circular economy and materials loops.
